Branch Gymnastics Hosts Level 5
State Championship
Level 5
gymnasts from all over the state of Michigan traveled to Battle
Creek to participate in the Level 5 State Championships hosted by
Branch Gymnastics. The Branch Gymnastics Level 5 girls had a
tremendous amount of success performing in front of a home crowd
full of friends and family.
In the U.S.
division, Abby Smith led the way with claiming the gold medal on
Floor with a 9.2 and 3rd place on Bars with an 8.65.
Savannah Highhouse was solid on Beam earning an 8.725 and a 4th
place finish, while teammate Aimee Garcia finished in 4th
place on Floor with an 8.9.
In the American
division, Laurel Wright swung her way to a 9th place
finish on Bars with an 8.9. Melissa Knapick was strong on Beam
finishing 5th with a 9.125, and took home the state title
on Floor with a 9.05. Melissa also finished in 8th place
in the All Around with a 35.30.
In the National
division, Erika DePierre took the 8th spot on Beam and
Floor with a 9.3 and a 9.225 respectively. Teagan Young was steady
on Beam earning 5th place with a score of 9.5, Ashleigh
Wrona took the 3rd spot on Bars with a 9.45, and Shelby
Woodmansee Vaulted her way to 3rd place with a 9.3.
