Level 8 Girls Shine at
Regional
Championships
The Branch
Gymnastics Level 8 team traveled to Indianapolis, Indiana to compete
in the Region 5 Championships hosted by DeVeau’s Gymnastics.
Kayla DePierre
and Manami Goto, who were members of the Michigan State Team and
came home with a first place finish in the team competition and a
number of strong individual finishes. Manami Goto turned in a solid
9.5 on Bars for 5th place and finished in the 9th
spot on Floor with a 9.425. Kayla DePierre finished in 2nd
place on Vault with a score of 9.5, 6th on Bars with a
9.475, and was the runner up in the All Around competition with a
score of 37.475. Julia Fiore came home with two 4th
place finishes on Vault with a 9.525 and Bars with a 9.45, and
teammate Megan Ellefson came away with 7th place on Beam
with a solid 9.275.
