Branch Gymnastics Level 4 and 5 Boys Teams Place 1st and
2nd at MEGA Invitational
The Level 4 and
5 Boys teams traveled to Farmington to compete at the Spring Fling
2007 hosted MEGA Gymnastics. The meet provided the boys with strong
competition from around the state. The boys put on a good show for
everyone present and took home 2nd place finish in the
Level 5 team division and 1st place in the Level 4 team
division.
In the 6-8 year
old age division, the Level 4 boys claimed five of the six
individual event titles along with the All Around. On Floor,
Hamilton Highhouse finished in first place with a score of 9.5. On
Pommel Horse, Noah Rosenbaum took top honors with a score of 9.1,
while teammates Hamilton Highhouse and Drake Hobson finished in 2nd
and 3rd place with scores of 9.0 and 8.7 respectively.
Masatoshi Goto Vaulted his way into first place with a 9.5 and Noah
Rosenbaum took 2nd place with a 9.4. On Parallel Bars,
Drake Hobson and Hamilton Highhouse took the top two spots with
scores of 9.1 and 9.0. On High Bar, Masatoshi Goto again found the
top spot with a score of 9.2. In the All Around, Hamilton Highhouse
took top honors with a score of 54.10 and teammates Drake Hobson and
Noah Rosenbaum finished in 3rd and 4th place
with a score of 54.00 and 53.70 respectively. In the 9 and up age
division, Austin Nemire took 2nd place on Floor (9.6),
Parallel Bars (9.3), High Bar (9.3), and All Around (55.10).
Jonathan Murphy took 1st place on Rings with a score of
9.5, while teammate Nicholas Heikkila on Vault (9.5) and Pommel
Horse (9.3). Matthew Leinwand and Sam Stover turned in some nice
Vault scores earning a 9.3 and 9.4 respectively.
In the Level 5
competition, 8-9 year old age division, Kevin Greenman finished in 1st
place on 3 events, Floor (8.8), Rings (8.9), Parallel Bars (9.0),
and in the All Around with a score of 52.00. Austin Buck finished
in the top spot on High Bar with an 8.7, and finished in 2nd
place on Parallel Bars (8.3) and Vault (9.3). In the 10 and up age
division Brent Person took the top spot on Parallel Bars with a 9.4,
and teammate Tra Bryant finished in 1st place on Rings
(8.9) and in the All Around with a 52.60
